You know, i was wondering the other day. You see all those youtube videos about black ops weapons, about their stats and damages and gameplay. So, how come ballistic weapons don't have video guides on how to use them? |

The videos we recently released do showcase what they can do, but not exactly how to do it, you should check them out, and then there is the manual..  It's not all that worth it when there is a manual, we would have to spend our valuable time making videos that describe what the manual does, just doesn't seem worth it from our point of view..  But it would be nice I guess..

Well, the manual is like a beginners "how to." It just tells how to use the weapon in it's most basic element; primary, alt, special and a few tips. A video guide would show users the advanced tips, like the dark star/nova staff secrets or other advanced tips. |

I wrote a wiki explaining statistics and strategy and hosted it when I ran a BW server, but when I took down the server I discovered I had improperly saved a backup and it was lost. I really can't face rewriting it from scratch, especially as looking up the statistics takes ages. |

The official BW wiki has some good information about the weapons and how to use them, but there's not much information on how to use them competitively. I can set up a separate balance section easily enough, but it'll take a while to fill out info for each weapon. Azarael, if you still have any of the info still lying around, either in word docs or your head, PM it to me and I'll see what I can do. I think something like this is pretty useful, and should help in lying some of the balance complaints to rest. |

Its an interesting idea to have weapons guides, but we just don't have enough time to produce videos for all the BW weapons right now. Maybe it could go in the wiki? It might be useful to provide more info on some of the more complex weapons such as the FP9 bomb... |

The Wiki, that would work much better.. Or a manual upgrade..  It would be nice for players to have some really detailed info on how to use some of the more finicky elements of the game properly...

Yeah, I still know how to play this game, but the balance is going to change when the 2.5 patch comes out. I'll write the wiki around the changes - in particular normalised damage will speed things up a lot. Assuming no major rebalancing is necessary, I'll take the strategy and comparison between weapons in the same class sections, but someone else will need to handle the lore and design elements. We'll need an info-box template, too. On the topic of balance: Ignoring superweapons, the highest tier of weaponry in BWPro (normalised damage and CoD-style variable sighting times for all weapons) was composed of the M50, S-AR 12, XK-2 and the E-23 ViPeR. |

A bit off topic but can somebody upload BW vids in the BW profile ? also add some screenies, the BW mod profile needs some fanciness here mostly since you have some cool vids
