How to make a ut2004 server appear standard in serverbrowser with loaded mutators like BallisticWeapons?

Anyone who knows isn't going to tell you - there's a clan called its who have some kind of mod which allows their servers to appear in multiple gametypes at once. Personally, I don't know either.

Given that some of the best mutator authors have had to rely on Epic whitelisting their mutators, I'm pretty sure there's no way to do this. In all likelihood those are entries generated by using the ServerDetails function in Mutator, and not a reflection of real mutators running. Maybe it's conveniently pointing out ServerActors, which are ignored in whitelisting, as Mutators.

Okay, the way to do this is to override GetServerDetails() in the Mutator class for every non-whitelisted mutator. This prevents the details of the mutator being sent to the master server and processed by it in order to knock your server out of the standard list. Ethically speaking I don't think it's acceptable to use this for Ballistic, which is clearly non-standard, but to be honest RPG is non-standard as well, and servers hosted by the [iTS] clan use not only this feature, but they also have some other kind of trick to make their servers appear in multiple gametype browsers at once. Hence, they have hoovered up almost every player of standard gametypes.

Therefore, I won't be using this for my Ballistic server, but I will be using it for our Assault server, which has been taken out of the standard list by the presence of UTComp. It's your choice what you do.

Exact this is what i found in past to do!

but i am no coder so i need a example .
where exact find this line, what to overwrite

i found this line in engine.u - mutator
but not in ballisticv21 - mut _ballisticswap

what exact to do?

It's apparently much easier just to create custom versions of default gametypes, and have those gametypes override the function GetServerDetails.

That sounds good Idea, i will trye that! I have allready done custom gametypes in past with a tool, trye to rember how...

Further investigation reveals that this method no longer works, so there's no longer any publicly known method of bypassing the whitelist. The iTS clan are able to do it on all their servers, but they will most likely refuse to assist you if you ask - their policy is not to help with server config and their whitelist bypass and multi-browser capabilities are the reason they're sucking up so many players when other servers are dying. Would be nice to help others out with getting past the stupid filter, but eh...

Let's all congratulate Epic for making Standard Servers Only the default, in a world where so many people can't even find the X button to map vote.

We've managed to do this, but it wasn't by any of the above methods. Our coder (far more advanced than me) has done it, so it's his work. As aforesaid, we're only using this bypass for our #1 server, which is legitimately standard (UTComp should be on the whitelist.)

ok azarael wouldnt share the modification made after my sughestion that this is possible.
Any other who can help me get this work?

Summary of my PM:

1) The bypass isn't my work, in any way, shape or form. It is not mine to release.
2) We don't run the bypass for our Ballistic server, because Ballistic is in no way standard. We run it for our #1 server, which is standard with UTComp.
3) We already knew that servers were bypassing master filters - see second post in this thread. You didn't notify us of anything we didn't know before.

There's no way in which anyone can spin Ballistic as in any way a standard form of gameplay.

i dont need a new ethic discussion about the standart filter, you have all said befor you found the right way
i dont need that you visit me and install the mod, only a nice point to wich file to modificate in wich way would help (i hope) (last i scanned the ipdrv.u but no shure that this is the right way, edited mutaor uc but cant recompile the engine.u, shit so long searching, seems i have not enought time and knowlegde for that)

utcomp is even more unstandart than bw. you can put all weapons in the maps without mutator and loosing standart flag, but this is not aczeptable work with 500 maps...
...utcomp still stays a mutator

I am unconcerned. Bypassing will not stop players from realising your server is nonstandard when they download a ton of files as opposed to the tiny dl required to use our AS server. Also, your ignorance about UTComp is astounding, if you never played any competitive 2k4 at any point you will look less of a fool if you simply don't comment.

Edit: I see what you've done. A separate server with BW on serverpackages and a note in the menu to go to another server. Hahaha, given that the whole point of standard servers only bypasses are that the players in question can't even click a box off to see all servers, what on earth makes you think that's going to work? xD

youre not up to date :) that was before i maked my servers standart flaged. btw, what on earth think you are? your shitty bw server stays allways empty , becouse you didnt respect the feeling of the original gameplay and the needs of standart players (like the bw mod makers himselves)ยด. and multy gametypeservers are at least totlay crap. i love ons, so i do ons servers. what do you love exept your selve?

and ass i found the sulution not at least with sughestion help from a friendly admin, i am pretty shure what you have done with my sughestion! you are no fairplayer, you think you can fool me, so you have to stand up earlyer in the morning.
and remember my posts in past, i allways pronounced that i wouldnt change the gamplay of ons even with bw weapons! so i never will add your mod to set the advanced keys or what else! thats my ethic.

for me a server is unstandart when the players glowing in red and blue gay colors and a crappy sound appaers on even hit. - thats ut comp - i hated that and the other childish modifications of utcomp from beginnig like this rpg crap !
