Post subject:  Counteracting the Ballistic Slowdown

When using Ballistic Weapons mutators, it makes the player pawn move much slower than playing without. Is it possible to make a mutator that checks to see if this slowdown is present and then disable it? The slowing down thing is sort of annoying when using great mutators like Ballistic Loadout.

If not, well, no big deal, I'll find a workaround somehow I guess. Thanks. :)

Probably you could use Ballistic Sloth to speed up the player.http://crazy-froggers.com/downloads/bw25communitymutators-d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e

It is used to slow down the player but the speed and momentum is configurable within this mutator. You could give it a try !

Would you mind very much mirroring it? It wants me to sign up to download it (although I suppose I could if I must. :p)

Also I am not entirely sure if it will work since the slowdown is built in to the Ballistic code, apparently, but it sure can't hurt to try. Might get pleasantly surprised.

Check MoDB for alternate download link. It WILL work since it was built specifically for BW.

I'm not sure how grobut has coded it all up, didnt checked yet the scripts.

If the GUI don't allow you to set specific high values, you can try to directly edit the related .ini file.

I don't need a huge value, I think all I need is a 1.4x multiplier to bring it up to UT2004 levels. I heard something about the regular speed being 440 units of some kind of measurement and Ballistic for whatever reason brings it down to 350.
