Has anyone else had trouble deploying the bipod on the X83-A1?

According to this page: http://wiki.runestorm.com/index.php?title=X-83_A1_.50_Anti-Material_Rifle,

if I'm reading that page correctly, using the bipod should be as simple as pressing the Weapons Special key whenever the scope isn't active. But that doesn't seem to work.

I know it's worked at least once, when I was at the very top level of some map, looking over the edge into an area below. But now I can't even repeat that experience at the same location on that map.

I did, and for the longest time couldn't figure out why, you've got to both set the weapon special 1 and 2 keys, and I noticed that unless i was crouching it wouldn't work.

Thanks. I'm really surprised that whether or not it works depends on whether or not the game is online. Any idea why that is?

Also, any idea when v10 is to be released?

In case the feature is in V9, its definitely wont work properly as it dont shoot where to target. I dont have V9 installed right now, but if im not misstaken its only working when you are the server host or you play offline.

I did, and for the longest time couldn't figure out why, you've got to both set the weapon special 1 and 2 keys, and I noticed that unless i was crouching it wouldn't work.

Also, do you think the previous poster was mistaken in thinking that this will only work in online play once v10 comes out?
