For one a Hovercraft APC thatt you can walk into and get powerups from (ammo, weapons health) similer to the Helix
with an energy weapon that heals objects and can heal infintry inside, as well as transport a vechile inside its hull useing something that sticks the vechile to the floor (alt fire toggles flying low with a back door open to allow it to go it) (it, and a few seets to allow bots to use it,the weekness?, all offenceive power comes from infintry shooting from inside and raming oppenets, as for week spots shoting the underside will cause it to deeply decend and scrach across the ground and and get hevely injured and hiting inside will do extra damage to it

As for a second a bomber aircraft that *GASP* accualy fires bombs of verying types toggled with the change fire buttonsuch as WP, Concussion,Emp (as opposed to ATS missles) with a single minigun on the top for repeling opposeing air craft (but of corse it can't target anything bellow it leading to a weekness) it can launch a flare to distract missles targeting it (but it is limited to a small stock of them),week spots are the tail wings and turret the tail and wings will cause it to spas out and become hard to control and the turret will break it

we got many ideas for our own vehicles.. wont have 2 much hovering stuff..

but we will have some kind of aircraft;)

An APC for BW would be delicious, and I love the carrying powerups idea too. I'm sure RS is gonna come up with a proper full set of vehicles including attack aircraft, transport aircraft, ground APC, tank, SPMA (but not silly like UT's) etc. What I'd like to see that I'm not pretty sure is coming is power armor- realistic like in Starship Troopers, not silly like in The Matrix. It'd be more like macro body armor than micro tank.

I don't like the idea of a "combat hovercraft" though. The main thing that bugs me about the default vehicles is that some don't look like they're built for combat! :angry: [rant=angry]The Hellbender and the buggy have rubber wheels that can catch fire and exposed drive and steering machinery. The hoverbike's ghastly with those huge, frail-looking fans- shoot green goo from the buggy at it and see why I think it's stoopid. :evil: Also, the latter two have drivers exposed! There are reasons military vehicles designed to withstand combat have bullet-resistant, non-flammable, non-puncturable metal tracks with tough, protected, small and lightweight drive gear and lots of surface area so you don't sink into offroad crud as easily and that can dog-paddle through water; wheels are good for non-combat use on roads, tracks are better for badass combat vehicles.[/rant]
Okay, I'm kinda sensitive there... It's just the idea of people sent into combat with stoopidly designed equipment gets my goat almost as much as doing the whole combat thing for a stoopid reason.

I never said its for combat it's an APC that hovers (soly to get over rough terrain) and I said it has no offenceive arments (but like the manta it can have infintry carrying heavy weapons on it)

What non-combat vehicles can you have in UT? The whole map is combat zone. Sometimes it happens that people get caught in hell unexpectedly, so transports like that are okay I guess.

A hovercraft would have to skid to a stop if you tear up the skirt with weapon fire. :evil:

I ment hover craft as in a rupolser craft as "Hover craft" is the parrent type of vechiles such as the manta and such Ued list them as, but yes I like the actual hovercraft idea if it has some coverings on some areas (like the front bumper)

Ah, yeah. I don't like big fans any more than big skirts; blades are vulnerable. Bird ingestion can kill turbofans...

As for the kind more like what we have now, I don't know how to make them combat-durable, at least resistant to small arms. Putting heavy armor on it doesn't seem to be an option...

Hovercraft can work in a futuristic mod, though. I read something about using high-energy light, like UV, to ionize a column of air and then use magnetic levitation against it. It would offer much better traction than ground-effect, just don't try driving over metal. :evil: I'll try to find it so I can put up a link... It wouldn't require vulnerable skirts or big fans, just lots of power- but nowhere near what railguns would need so that's not an issue for BW. Visually, it would probably be a blacklight glow without the heavy downdraft popular in sci-fi.

What about boats or subs? I would like a sub, and a map that had sub bays and underwater stuff.

How many ONS or VCTF maps have you seen that have a ton of water to support boats or subs? Almost none. Even if RS made some they'd have to make custom maps for them. And i'm sure RS just wants it so that any vehicle and be used anywhere on any map (unless that map is only for raptors), so boats and subs are out.

Well, maps have been designed in the past, based on the vehicals that could support it. I think if those vehicals did exist. Then we would see the maps begin to appear.

well... i like the plane and drop-ship thing.
could you make the plane fly like the bomber but better? oh... and, yes, you can fly the bomber just type this in the console: "summon onslaughtfull.onsbomber" and it you wanna fly it you need a runway, and then steer with your mouse and make a looping.
