Got back into Minecraft.
I've been playing with the Industiralcraft mod, Mo' Creatures and the French village mod (Which happens to cause annoying lagspikes so i'm don't plan on keeping it on much longer.

I have an obsession with large industrial like buildings and structures. and so i decided to make some industrial like area in minecraft. stone buildings, sawtooth roofing, roads and lots of cobblestone ground.
And even a few Tesla coils for the automated defence gird (Industrialcraft)

Here it so far. just started a day ago.

To the Left, the Metalworks and the first building of Futura Industries. complete with several Steel furnaces and Macerators to double ingot production. (IC Mod)
To the Right, the power plant with a combustion generator and it currently runs on coal (unitl a more efficient fuel source is developed at Futura Industries)

Possibly more to come.
And in the shack next to the powerplant is the Rubber mill. (IC Mod) uses all natural tree rubber in the production of cables for the many wonderful machines here at Futura Industries.

Bump (kinda) Any new, news about minecraft, 1.8 is gonna have rivers and a better biome code, for bigger land masses, with ocean type bodies of water im exited

No news yet, although Notch did throw down a gauntlet over a lawsuit... challenging the other gaming company to a game of quake 3, kinda of a winner takes all x3

I cant get on your server, or rather never could, havnt tried in a while lol........idk why tho

You ended up joining the network, but never replied to messages and such, so I didn't boot the server... I am now on a mates server ^^;

lol any way would any of you know what this is?

The server or the client lagged too much, as such the socket (used when networkeing) timed out.

Do you know how to fix this?

Faster Server/computer/internet connection, more reliable internet connection and such... basically the general stuff, if none of that works, make sure you are whitelisted to the server and you are running on the same version of the server...

Ive been addicted to Minecraft ever since a friend told me about it. Its taken quite a good amount of my life away hah.

naah, kinda ruins it for me, its better with squares IMO

what about that water shader mod? its tight man, try it out sometime

The water shader mod is probably one of the best visual mods for minecraft imo.

only if your PC can put up with it =P

This mod is "meant" to be coming out for 1.8, but im guessing when it does 1.9 will be out, :/
So i think there waiting for 1.9 to come out and then updating it further,

But notch MUST add this as a feature it adds SOO much to minecraft, and makes the game look more 3d, and really brushes it out more, hell, with this mod, and the water shader mod, minecraft will be on par with crysis 2

Also with a 512x512 texture pack it looks even better, Ive heard rumors of a 1024 texture pack Seriously,

Shaders are awesome, but they rip the crap out of performance and take cpu power like a druggie takes heroine, Which make it very hard for lower end computers
