I agree, but I'm currently wondering where it should go. Though what do you mean by 'safety' trigger? I can only imagine an extra 'laser beam of death' trigger.

Well isn't a grenade launcher simply an overgrown shotgun anyways?

They are since they are often very similar to those break open shotguns for example the M79. I can mention of course the EX 41 (China Lake) who is the biggest pump action shotgun and finally there is a round who fire around 15 .22 LR bullets. There is also the russian GM 93 too even if it's a bit different.

As for shotguns I think they truly exists in every size unlike most type of weapons.
The smallest are derringers, revolvers, there is the rifles and assault rifles, you have also the grenade launchers, the rocket launchers and finally the tank cannon and artillery.
So yes grenade launcher is an overgrown shotgun

Or someone could, say, take the assault rifle from Marathon 2 and give it proper iron sights.

Just stating an alternative if that doesn't work out.

Thanks! And indeed it will, imagine several fast, fancy one handed cocking anims for this, giving it a fairly fast fire rate, though having only 4 or 5 shots before reload with a stripper clip.

Also, dual wielding might be available for it. We'll have to see. Physically it would be possible for one handed use (not counting rediculous recoil), but we'd have to see if it feels right. Of course we still got plenty of stuff to do before this even gets animated.

Yeah, it takes time, but its already a promising model IMO.

If anyone wonders why it takes time for this mod one big factor is that there is a bottleneck. And that bottleneck has little interest in his role lately.

Everyone would love if more people could come and do animations. Xavious is good at teach it.

I might go into animations and models too, but still, coding is my main focus right now.


It would be great if we can contribute somehow, someway.
And we can always send out a recruiting party to get more to join.
The more people we have working on this, the more we can get done.
Also means less work for you guys.
