And we can put a barrel underneath that one filled with shotgun shells!

I just had a great idea as well. Why not adding an additional trigger to the weapon which causes all enemys to die immediately.

Either a feature that sticks a rocket in the ground moments before it explodes or a feature that makes you able to place a bomb and trigger it from afar whenever you like I would say...

Though good news everybody! This bonus pack is rated on ModDB as #750 out of over 17,000 mods! The popularity this pack has brought the main RuneStorm page has bumped it up to #450 as well! Hooray for media releases!

Hint: The Mk.781 now can fit silencers and use alternate ammo types.

Amazing guns man, it's awesome to see the quality of the weapons progress through each new pack, these really are something else.

About the video, I think the way you hold the Mk781 makes it look a bit too small, and that the TC9N should be held a bit higher than how they're currently held (though it might just be the aspect ratio messing with my perspective).

I like the "Authorizing..." bar on the Nuke Launcher.
Btw, how big is the radius of the fallout after the blast?

The auth. one is the BMF tactical nuke, not the LAW.

It looks like our monthly update rocketed BW up to the prestigious spot of #56 on ModDB! Woo! (Probably only for today, but that's a secret.)



And yeah, when you hear that nuke alarm playing, you better run away as fast as you can. It has a significant blast radius.

It may be because the LAW and the nuke launcher have the same model but I became a little confused what their fire modes were based on what I saw in that beta-test video.

It used to be like this:

Prototypes:
-LAW: fired a slow basic rocket that did, I dunno 200 damage? Had huge knockback force however, great for rocket jumping. No alt
-Nuke launcher: fired a fast basic rocket that made a very impressive boom. No alt

From the youtube video I gather this:

-LAW: Fires a very fast rocket that does large damage and has a high blast radius. Alt fire imbeds the rocket into the ground where it makes continued blasts.
-Nuke launcher: Starts an "authorization process". This 5 second delay must complete uninterrupted before the weapon can fire. Once authorized the weapon fires a basic nuke. No alt

Is that right?

When I saw the screenshots earlier up in the page I imagined that the Nuke launcher would work by imbedding the nuke into the ground where it then explodes after a time period. The player would have to defend the nuke from being destroyed during that time period in order to set it off. But I guess I was looking at the LAW

Also can we pilot the nuke? I still want a Ballistic Redeemer

Don't forget that some of the prototypes can gain their alt / special fire modes after getting the model and animations

Also the law needs to cock / uncock everytime you pull it out just like the grenades with pin / unpin

as for the nuke it's more dangerous than the redeemer since you can be irradiated

This'll explain in detail how the new shotgun and LAW will work. Bear in mind that the new Mk.781 is significantly different than the old ones. This one needs to use flechette sabot ammunition to accommodate its suppressor, which means you'll be shooting a whole bunch of tiny darts at your enemies.

Will there be a version that fires very large darts? Say, kitchen knife size?

I just wish my ut2004 would run smooth like that.
I've got a high-end PC, I can play everything without any issues, but my UT2k4 is lagging and lagging...

Keeping System/ clean of huge voicepacks (especially Ultimate Voice Pack collections) helps more than anything else you can do about optimizing your UT2004 installation.

Overfilling Player models is OK.

Overfilling Maps is OK, until the maprecords start to crash with runaway loops that is. MapMixer doesn't suffer this.

Overfilling weapons is OK as long as you don't use the Weapons menu in the Options.

Overfilling voice packs will just lead to extremely long loading times at the player menu, potentially triggering a Virtual Memory crash. Also having too many voices will cause the game to hitch when someone kills w/ auto-taunt enabled as it tries to seek and cache a voice sample.

64-bit UT2004 also helps (It's the only proper Direct3D9 renderer you can even get), but it doesn't support some sound features like pitch.

I'm really enjoying the new pictures of the weapons. Will there be another prototype package for us to try out?

Wow I disappear for about 2 months due to work getting me to show up a lot more (LOLQuitters, LOLLayoffs & LOLManagementShakeUp) and when I do have enough time to myself I have all this information to read and process.

First off I can't wait to see the new model of the MARS in action. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite Loadout weapons to use or in general when I can get my hands on it. I also like how the Gass Rifle shaped up from it's scopeless start (also another fav to use in Loadout at times) to becoming what I think is one of the few 4 Mode weapons in BW (Offline, Rechange, Power & Reflector).

And Thank God the LAW now has a very bright yellow always on laser sight because Beta!LAW once a bot gets ahold of one it just fires it right off and when your near by the blast zone you can kiss about half or most of your health goodbye what out knowing who did it. Also I can already see that it's bigger brother that Sgt. Kelly showed off in the video for my weapon set up of the game will be set only to show up in Loadout options or at best as one of the Redeemer weapon options like where I putted the Golden Gun and the LAW for example. And I think I'm with everybody here that we all hope there is another public beta for people to try out.



Also if you have a good knowledge of how the /system folder and user settings file works you can change your game avatar and voice pack the avatar uses you can also change the voices of the bots and edit their display names doing this as well if you find the bots system file that is kind of useful if your playing UT2k4 on a somewhat crap computer (like how I am) and don't like fighting with the games GUI if you have maybe about 30-40 voice packs installed plus your own created ones in the mix.

My computers are under-going open heart surgery! Unfortunately, one mobo died in the process and the second one was missing some vital components. No new media or content until I can get that poor guy off life support!

How many times has your computer exploded over the history of this mod? 5? 6 times?
