Regardless of the file name, it *is* Az's work. It's no secret that it is his. (point in case the file name for SWBP is 'ballistic recolours')

SKBP wasn't made by the community. It was made by 3 individuals with half a dozen contributors. If this pack is forced to adopt a different name, then you also need to force jack carver and fische's pack to be renamed, since there are others that have worked on that mod as well that aren't in the "name" of the work.

And yes, it IS a brand. Johnson and Johnson's Shampoo. What is it? shampoo. The brand name? J&J. Same concept. Saying that it shouldn't be says that Sarge doesn't do his own work, dev. his own concepts and clearly is at fault for starting a pack of content at all.

Don't get me wrong, I can see why it's an issue. However, because some people don't know how to look at the readme/credits section shouldn't mean so many people assume sarge is doing this CLEARLY and OBVIOUSLY to steal credit.

If that's not the case, why did he put MY name on the credits section, for a barely recognizeable contribution, when i said several times it didn't bother me?

Is there any place in web where I can download this? Moddb doesn't work and it seems like any other place was reffering to this. Help/update links for the greater good.

No, WD 4 only has the weapons on the pictures next to it. Large filesize is probably due to complex models (like LK) and high-res textures.

So Im still forced to wait until issue will be resolved bad.. how long it can take?

Actually, WD4 includes all previous weapon drops. It's called "Main pack", while WD5 is called "Expansion pack".

The more impatient you get, the longer it will take. It's not like you're paying for them. Free time is a valuable, limited resource that's being used to resolve issues instead of working on fun stuff.

Hey, I just noticed that there's a RDS in front of the optic for the AH250 in the pics. Though this isn't the case with the actual in-game model. Was this intended?

Edit: I see it's present on the on the world model, but not in the first person model.

Hey folks, the situation has been resolved peacefully. Both parties apologized for their wrong doing and have ceased hostilities.

Unfortunately though, in light of all this as well as my full time job and university responsibilities, I regretfully state that I no longer have the free time or motivation to continue the mod along the path I originally set for it! Xavious and I will be heavily slowing down mod production, though we don't fully intend to shut it down just yet.

We'll see what the coming months yield! Perhaps future BW work, but most likely some glorious Rooks Keep designs and Viscera Cleanup Detail projects.

That's good the war stopped, but now all we can do is wait patiently for the future months.

Though I was looking forward to V10's completion. Your team's guns are a lot of fun to blow the borscht out of bots' heads with.

Are you going to complete and release WD4+5? Though the beta version I have of it has some jarringly obvious bugs such as the silencer on the MARS-3 and third person or dropped models of the AH208/AH250 not matching either the first-person models or each other, it functions well overall and looks nearly complete. Except for the totally broken, unusable slugs feature on the Super 10, which seems to be the only broken gameplay feature. The rest of the bugs I could find are just visual defects or model/recolor mix-ups.


I wish I could offer my help on the mod since the game I wish to make in UDK has nearly identical gun concepts to BW V10, but my skills are nowhere near good enough. I can barely even operate Blender and haven't been able to find tutorials relevant to my interests. (the design of weapons, characters, and other "actor" objects) I only know Unrealscript well enough to change basic things such as ammo count, pawn speed, underwater/drown counter, etc., so I'm not good there either.

Any hints or tips on how I can speed up my learning of Blender, GIMP, UDK/UE/UScript, etc.? I'm having a really hard time with it.

If you want to learn blender there is tutorials made by captain xavious and glosmostinex in this forum.

for UScript, UnrealEngine, UDK you should look at beyondunreal and UDN on epicgames.

Its been an extremely long time since I last even visited this place.
I didn't really bothered what is going on here until someone else told me about it on ModDB,
I kept track of recent events since then.

But its nice that it ended well. Thank goodness this is sorted out.

But.... er..... the only problem now is the ModDB links are still down, and me and well most....actually pretty much all of the peeps at ModDB would appreciate it if we can have those links and the BWC mod page back up. That includes the latest weapon pack release I believe.

Does this mean no more Longhorn? Conqueror? Really cool 4-Tube Rocket Launcher? No fixes for the Super-10 (getting slugs to work) or MARS supressor?

Releases will happen when they happen, guys. it's slowed, not stopped.

If you guys want to make additions to the mod or finish the weapons as a community as a whole, I STRONGLY recommend at least giving blender and the scripting a shot! I'm sure Xavious would be willing to animate a gun for you guys if the rest of it is completed!

Welp, good news is all this brouhaha is finally behind us. And to be quite honest I'm quite content with the current weapons/mods we have right now. I was ashamed to be hyped about coming back to BW for the new updates when I didn't know about all this animosity brewing in the background.

If I may make a suggestion, perhaps we could vote on what comes next? Failing that... maybe release a public beta of some of the more finished weapons?

I'll probably release a public beta sometime soon.

As far as ModDB goes, it's unlikely for two reasons. One, I was removed from control of the page and couldn't upload even if I wanted to. Two, the mod was reported for copyright and those charges stick. I doubt ModDB will allow an upload even if I argue fair use.

10 versions... 10 new weapon packs. All sporting top-of-the-line weapons. I never thought you guys would want to take it so awesomely far but you did and I thank you all (yes, even Az) for everything they've done just so I can selfishly download and play it all for free.

The funny thing is, I'm not that sad. After 10 WP's, it would be incredibly selfish for me to say that I'm not content with what we have now. Yeah, it would be cool to keep this going but it had to end some time and it ended with amazing results. I've never seen any weapon pack go this long. You guys did something amazing. Not very many people may know about this WP at all but we know. I know. And we enjoyed it and will continue to enjoy it, just as people still continue to enjoy many old mods like U4E, ChaosUT, and, of course, Ballistic Weapons. In the end, that's what's important.

In all sincerity, good luck in all your endeavors, guys. You earned it.
