Oh yes downloaded i figured out many of there secret powers but i'm not telling anyone how to use them properly , then i transfered my knowledge to VCTF.

Just messed around with them some more, and I found that I had shots bouncing off of each other in midair and taking out bystanders, which was amusing.

And by "secrets" do you mean what happens when you mix fire and lightning?

Now i know what you meant, found it, very love using alt fire while its on, well atleast on Dark Star.

Ah, I found for the activation of special... wow, it's quite hard to fill these bar and it's so short
But the effect is uber cool.

So the blackhole (which happened to me but I don't know how?) is only one (without refering to the metamorphosis?) of the effects of the staves ?

Well, those weapons change a lot the gameplay of BW ! What do you think ?

If you really want to see some chaos,use ballistic arena set it up so it uses only the two staves,start a bot match on gael(or any small map),using 8 bots,u'll get a helluva lot of wormholes explosions and souls flying through the air,not to mention the blood .

Gosh I don't want to use any other weapon than the Viper. XD It's so wonderful. I think its' sniper shots should be more powerful.

The sniper shots are so weak that they are a waste of time and effort unless all other guns in your arsenal are empty.

I find the sniper shots to be extremely effective.

I found that out within 10 minutes of playing with them, so I figured it wasn't too secret. I figured the black holes were the secret.

Theres all sorts of things to them you likely haven't discovered yet.

*SPOILERS! DO NOT READ IF YOU WANT TO FIGURE THE STAFF'S OUT YOURSELF!*


So far, this is what I know of the staffs.
-With the Dark Star (And maby the nova) health and ammo is drained from enemies when meleeing them
-After getting a full bar from coming into contact with the correct spirits, you can go into "Super Mode", giving you two new heavy attacks and new ailities. Nova gives flight, Dark Star gives superspeed and jumping.
*Supposedly, using the super attacks and having them hit eachother spawns a black hole.

Still more to it.

Really? Also seems that the shots bounce off each other, but other than that, I haven't found much else.

---Nova Staff---
Melee attack is a charged stab, which generates ammo for the staff if it lands a hit.
Slowly heals the wielder at all times, up to 150 health.
In God Mode you sprout angel wings and can fly, and gain an instagib lightning bolt attack and a chain-lightning stream attack.

---Dark Star---
Melee is a chainsaw that pulls the target toward you and heals you as you deal damage.
Generates ammo every time you take damage while wielding the staff.
In God Mode you receive a hefty boost to your running speed and jump height, and gain a flaming mortar attack and an immolation attack that causes people you look at to burst into flames.

---Both Staves---
All ranged attacks from the opposing staff can be blocked by using the plasma or lightning modes. This has a different effect on each projectile.
- Fast bolts simply evaporate, slow blasts are reflected back to their source with additional damage and homing ability.
- Mixing the plasma and the lightning from both staves generates black holes, which suck up any staff magic and loose souls in the area. Feeding staff magic to a black hole makes it grow larger until it eventually explodes, dealing a huge amount of damage to everyone in a large radius. Black holes are an instant kill if touched and will eventually evaporate on their own if left alone. Any souls the black hole sucked up will be released upon its death.

(Edit: Forgot to mention that the black holes suck up souls, thanks, Shadow.)

One thing to pay attention to,as I have found,Black holes are like treasure chests.They suck up any souls in the area,and I've found that souls inside a black hole do not disappear.All you need to do is overcharge the hole until it explodes,or check up on it regularly until it fades out,then sweep in,take all the souls and slam the special key!Instant super mode(if there were enough souls).

this is very good, but for BP5 (hoping to god there will be a bonus pack 5), you should add a shotgun that shoots shells or slugs instead of pellets, that would OWN.

Whilst its not exactly the same thing, you might want to lavish your attenion on the Redwood 6000, you get shovel reload, manual coking after every shot, and one powerfull projectile instead of many weak ones, in terms of gameplay, its not all that different from how a shotgun loaded with slugs would work in this mod
It should tide you over at the very least.

The night-vision mode on the Viper just gives me moving bars across the scope. Is there an additional effect I'm missing?

You're in too much lighting. It goes green when there is little light.

But we have 2 sniper rifles a bunch of pistols and other weapons that has the same purpose. Slugs would be very easy to implement. No new graphics or anything. Just add a new ammunition to shotguns which are contained in the common boxes and let the it have the special button to change the ammo, using same animation as reloading. Then just make the attack deal damage at a single point.

I think I will definitely ban those weapons from games they are way too chaotic !
I never thought the gameplay would become so violent with them + once you have one of those, it's the only weapon you use to try to get those powers But for a big chaotic game, they will be interesting

Yep, the staves definitely change the gameplay a bit, but one thing is sure, they fit perfectly in with the other weapons.

Also, note on the night vision lamp: As states in the manual, you must turn on dynamic lighting in order for it to have any effect.

Haven't tried it yet...
