really cool.especially in god mode when you can kick a lot of bots with the shotty.
wow, i just discovered that i can put textures and world detail in maximum, and it doesn't lag so much in my notebook.( or the game automatically adjusted it back to the minimum.)

Hey, someone's gotta give some criticism, right? Nothing's perfect, and everyone else has already got praise covered.

I just don't like adding features where it isn't obvious from the model how those features work. There's only one barrel, so it should only fire one shell, right?

I'm not sure what you mean about none of the BW shotguns being any different. The ones that can fire double-shots both have 2 barrels. The ones that have one barrel cannot.

Of course, I don't really have any ideas for an alternative. Perhaps an alternate slug mode?

I meant their differences weren't that extravengant. You have 1 that has 1 barrel and a meele alt, another with 2 barrels that can shoot both 2 or 1, and another thats a sawed offed version.

I just find that isn't that much differences, cept in the meele capable SG and the dual barrel SG.

Also, remember, RS will probably change this SG once the MSUC is over.. they are just trying to make it as wicked as possible.

BTW Kab, it does have two barrels, 1 on top of the other. Its just real hard to notice the bottom one cept for this screenshot. Least it looks like a second barrel underneath it.

Exactly. The 'double tap' just doesn't make any sense, and doesn't even jive with the firing effects afaik.



That's what I suggested... Either slug or very tight buckshot (dynamic choke), though flashlight + tazer would have been better still. Now it's just a pretty weapon, not an instant classic like the LG.



Dude, that's not a barrel, it's a (tubular) magazine. Same with the camo and tac shotguns.

I reckon if this shotty had a tazer instead of double shot it would be a lot better and im pretty sure everyone would agree with me here. The double is meant to be used at close range anyway. right?

You may have already made the weapon but it is not outside the bounds of possibility to give it a different secondary. Is it!

Another thing that annoys me... No bullet marks on walls. GUYS THAT IS A MUST!

there are probably quite a few things that could replace the secondary, why doesnt everyone share their ideas.

During the testing, it would have bullet impact marks. Its an oversight, like the no icon RS is trying to overcome if i'm right.

Heck, I'm happy to see stuff regardless of whether it has a crazy alt-fire or not. Really glad to see that the demands of the new engine haven't done much to slow runestorm down!

The lightning gun is amazing. All the win of the original in a sleeker and sexier package. That thing delivers.

Yep, since there'll have to be a 1.1 release to fix the missing impact marks anyway, might as well use it to change the secondary. Making it fire powerful slugs would by far be the easiest fix, could even do that before the MSUC deadline. Can't really think of anything else atm, at least nothing that makes sense.

But the secondary is so awesome and fun.

... but it isn't anything special, plus to be honest i rarely use it. the primary is powerful enough anyway.

Maybe secondary could be melee swipe, though i think the slug idea works as well.

Slugs would be a nice alternative; powerful, but no direct hit = no hit at all.

Well, if they don't want to change the gun, maybe someone else could mod it. Give it a slug altfire, a new paintjob, and call it the Rottweiler or whatever. Should be easy enough even with fairly basic modding skills.

we're fans of the double ourselves (we did make it), so we're unlikely to 'officially' add it to the pitbull.

Eh, what's so top secret about the shotty's texture files? If you allow people to mod BW, why not let them mod the new guns too?

BW2004 is kind of open to the public now, if it wasnt it would stay the same and get all dusty. BW3 is work done strictly by the devs it seems.

Strictly speaking the UT3 guns aren't BW (yet?)... Anyway, if the devs don't want them modded, that's no big deal really, just a bit strange imo.

For the time being.... I'm pretty sure NO ONE was editting BW2 for the first year... after that you had Kab, Kelly making their own mods off of it.
