as you know there is a conflict going on in georgia, but what i have learned is that this conflict is just a small part of russia's bigger plan.
the real reason russia 'invaded' georgia is domination and oil. they need this to rebuild the soviet union.
yes, you heard it right, a new soviet union, a new cold war.
russia tries to achieve it by making europe dependent on russia's energy and oil.
while russian troop keep on making progress into georgia, they keep on claiming that they have stoped the fire and are moving back.
russia is also threatening east-european countrys that want to help georgia.
while the whole world knows there is a conflict in georgia, russians themselfs know of nothing and are kept blind with propaganda.
and if this conflict would escalate it will have world wide consequences.

You gotta love conspiracy theories.

source of information: TVN24 polish tv (its like a polish cnn).
its less a theory more a fact, my mother is polish and know the comunists very well.
during the cold war my mom was protesting against comunism.
and as a rusult of that they were spying on her, and even made a few attempts to kill her!
such a person is also a reliable source of information.
and if you know people who have lived in the soviet union, then ask them a few questions about it.

It was only after a while that I realized they weren't talking about the US.

This whole mess is actually the plot of the first Ghost Recon game. It's even set in 2008. Uncanny.

My own personal analsysis of this whole conflict is as follows:

Georgia started it (weather in retaliation to attacts or to 'retake' the territory).

Russia sees this as an oportunity to get away with invading Georgia.

Ceasefire is agreed, but the Russians refuse to leave. South Ossentians use this as a chance to start revenge killings.


On a side note, have you noticed how all the Russian soldiers are riding outside their BMPs and BRTs. Apparently they do this because they have no faith in the armour and prefer to be outside at all times.

russian troops were already stationd in south-ossetia and abkhazia before georgia did anything!
even better, russians provoked georgia to send troop to these provinces.

Russians do want to rebuild the soviet union, but they don't have control over Georgia anymore like the other pre-soviet countries. That means if they invade and take over the country, it would mean world war 3, no one wants that to happen, not even the Russians. My guess is that they are just helping Ossetia and Abkhazia to separate from Georgia, though with an unusual method.

Here's a good source of intel: we have these things in space all around the planet called sattelites. Can't those things zoom down to street level?

Georgia has been looking to get NATO membership, and being once a Soviet state, I imagine Russia might be feeling threatened. I think they were just wanting to flex their muscle a little and demonstrate their dominion over the region to the West.

There is no way in hell Russia will attack Poland. I'm not even sure what they're whining about there. ABM sites in Poland won't be able to stop missiles going over the arctic.

As for the journalist shooting, you're going to need a little more info to jump to the conclusion that the Russians are actively hunting them down. The Georgian woman who got shot in the arm may have just taken a stray bullet from a firefight, and I've seen no indication that the Russians knew there were Turkish journalists in the vehicle they were firing at.

As for Russian troops in the region prior to this mess, there are a large number of Russian citizens in South Ossetia. Being such an unstable region, I imagine Russia has some interest in protecting its citizens.

Don't forget the fact that we have nothing to defend ourselves with at the moment.
