I love this mod! M30A2 kicks ass. I love its heavy hitting power and accuracy. The Pounder is awesome. The shotty is ridiculously insane. Usually I go for the rifles, smg's and pistols and hardly ever use the shotguns. M781 is hilarious, I like it

The X-82 A2 Anti-Material Rifle

Enravion's high powered X-82 A2 Anti-Material Rifle is a fearsome sight on the modern day battlefield. With an effective range of about 1.1 miles, the X-82 can target and eliminate infantry and light vehicles with ease and at range using its specialized .50 cal N6-BMG HEAP rounds. This special operations weapon, designed to disable key targets like parked aircraft and APCs, was used extensively prior to the Skrith wars.

While replaced mainly by the heavier Flak 16 SM-AT/AA and M75-TIC during the wars, the X-82 has been brought back into the limelight following the infamous assassination of UTC General Alen Winchester by feared Outworld terrorist group, The Hand. It should be noted that this is a specialist's rifle and can be difficult for to use without training.



In layman's terms, this weapon is a Barrett 50 Cal with a scope as secondary and a mount that can be toggled by pressing the special weapon key. If you are scoped and you press the special weapon key, the gun will activate nightvision. If you are unscoped and press the special weapon key, you will mount the weapon.

Though I am wondering what to do with the secondary fire. Should I keep it as a scope or make it mount the gun? Please give me your input and tell me why.

The 2nd fire should be "Use Scope",and the special (Unscoped) mount weapon.

No . Do NOT make Secondary key mount the gun please. This is sniper weapon. In any sniper weapons scope is the most used thing and must be enabled by Secondary key. Otherwise this rifle will be very difficult to use as sniper weapon. And your very original idea about variable usage of Special key is cool.

Also if the weapon will have only single-shot fire (not auto or burst) then i propose to use Change Firemode key for changing the type of ammo (Standart, Antiarmor, Explosive) like described in one of my replies here. Why not?

The X-82 A2 and the AH104 both use the modern High explosive incendiary/Armor Piercing round which is an explosive anti-armor round. That means that the single round will work both as an explosive round and an anti armor round.

The change firemode ammo switch was actually intended for the original release though. I might include it in some future weaponry.

This new sniper rifle seems all too similar to WangTangs X-83 A1 Sniper rifle.

Keep the secondary fire button for engaging the scope. Between nightvision and mounting the rifle, I would have to say mount the rifle. .50 cal bullets are pretty big, mounting it would make the shots fired have a chance of hitting from long distance. On the move the rifle shouldnt be all that accurate.

I like the idea of being able to switch ammo types. I have this really nice image in my head now of scoring a nasty headshot on some poor dude with an explosive round.

I find it ridiculous that a .50 cal sniper will need mounting, but a 20mm Railgun that can 2-shot a Goliath does not.

Agreed,but who cares.It's a game.

Well, perhaps the Railgun's own weight absorbs the massive recoil, or it has internal gyroscopes & shock absorbers.

It doesn't need to be mounted to fire. You can still fire it by hand with relatively good accuracy. Mounting just makes the gun much easier to control by eliminating recoil and chaos.
