I just gave this a try and oh man, they weren't kidding when they mentioned UI improvements. I'm liking this infinitely more than the old UI.

Though I personally think certain buttons and options are misplaced. Like the Advanced button in the Video tab is placed at the bottom of the screen instead of inside the video options menu itself.

BTW i find titan pretty imba you can pwn just about everything with this sh*t, however theres an easy way to pwn it in warfare (just make a scorpion self destruct run on it)

Uh, call me crazy but I don't think a gametype like that was meant to be balanced to begin with.

Titan can pwn goliath if not two at the same time , and having such thing in DM lets say its guarantee of godlike award and a dozen of monster kills

I find it lots of fun to fire up an IA match and just pwn everything and everyone, ♥♥♥♥♥ balance.

I found the titan pretty cool.
I liked the Betrayal, though it would be cool if you could choose the normal weapons.
but again, someone from the community will change that.

Greed is really cool. It also has some changes, like instead of lots of coins spilling when someone has 20, it just throws a red skull, making it easies to pick.
I noticed that Darkmatch is kinda pointless, since you can see the enemies name above them...

Well yes probably its not about balance its just feels to much powerfull considering how fast you can morph in to him.
Anyways the most things i liked about this pack is the new UI and new maps.

I wonder why Kensai is still unplayable character (yes i know it can be modded in but he have no custom portrait and when playing with action cam he have flying hands bug)

Steam offers UT3 for free over this weekend if I'm not mistaken, but when that time passes it will cost as little as $12 as Cyberax said.

actually they aren't weapons, they're turrets.(for vehicles matches)

I think the new UI is worse... While the expanded options are nice, I don't like having to having to push continue to get to the next page from the main menu...

And the UI is still as ugly as ever...

And the configure keys page is bugged, I think. When you open it, the Translocator/Hoverboard keys unbind themselves, and if you try to get out of the configure keys menu, it denies you that until you bind the stupid key, which is apparently an essential control, despite the fact that I don't even use that freaking key...

No, I am not happy with the new patch... Though I have yet to try the pack yet, gonna be tough to get a near 1 GB file with my available connections...

Keep an eye on your local gamming magazines, they're bound to have it in their next edition. Most magazines have cover disks with stuff like that on. Sometimes that's the only we can get stuff

yeah, the double click need in the main menu is quite stupid... though the options are better.

I've installed Mr Evil's sentinels(which are awesome, really awesome) but whenever I use it, when I play, and go back to the IA menu, the mutator list reset... it changes the mutators.

is that a problem with the sentinels or with the Patch?

in the older patch 1.3, many options are still not saved. We were trying to create a custom control, but you have to bind it everytime you get into the game! The evil profile system seems to completely ♥♥♥♥♥ everything up! When i first tried making myself a profile, i use the name "ShadowBlade" but someone else in the world used it, so i couldn't! that sucks.. the profile system for me at least has absolutely no benefit..

It is a vast improvement alone that items in the main menu are no longer resized when selected, that pissed me off beyond everything else that was wrong, combined.

But I agree that the overall look is ugly as hell, though I like the new color scheme better than the old one, but that is just the visually impaired Bjossi speaking.

I like how the patch 4 now lets the game actually remember your game settings, such as which mutators you have selected for a game type. The UI is a little cleaner, but still pretty much the same feel. I used to have this little mod that replaced the background movie for the UI with a static image, which made the main menu load much faster, but I lost it and cannot find it. However, The UT3 mapmixer mod is in private beta. I loved the mapmixer in UT2004 and I'm sure this version will also impress me.

I also like the greatly expanded interface for tweaking your display settings. I can now actually turn off the over-done bloom, even though I could have done that before by using the unreal tweaker. Too bad I can't disable the de-saturation, though.

Theres a mod or two that removed desaturation, called color fix or something like that. Lemme find a link for you...
