Just curious, can i submit a weapon for your weapon pack Sgt. I know how to model and texture in 3ds max, but I don't know crap about importing and making it work in UT2k4 (i wish i did, else I would do it)

While progress is going extremely slow right now, I can probably help you get your model UT-ready.
Also, I'm gonna be opening up the mod to public beta testing for those of you who have been kind enough to wait!

We are looking for people to aid with rigging, UV mapping, and animating many weapon models, preferably using blender.

If you are interested, please look over my tutorial that tells how to do everything required in Blender and ask me or Sgt. Kelly if you want to know where to start.

except the "bugs" (while reloading the LS-14 Laser Carbine you can see end of left hand, not fully modeled or textured weapons, AK-490 Assault Rifle has word model of M30 Tactical Rifle, wrong position of ironsight markings, etc...) the weapons look like really good. Good job.

Edit: Nice skins for R98 hunting rifle and SRS mod-2 battle rifle
bug with CYLO assault weapon: if you shot and next use meele attack, you can see the meele attack use 1 bullet from clip and if you shot, it look's like you don't shot 1 bullet

Edit 2: R98 and SRS mod-2 got more versions? I must ask you: why? On one side is good (gameplay differences) but from one bad and if you want to get an automatic version you get semi auto.
SRS mod-2 has around 5 skins: Dark black, Clean white, Blue camouflage, Rust or desert camouflage - semi auto + different sound, speed? ... and with Red camouflage is full auto?
R98 same: Tiger, Winter, .... camouflage, gold, dark .... and all it's bolt action but only with winter camouflage (on bolt? or how it's name is "ABA" text or what) is semi auto.


Edit 3: third weapon that have more skins + specifications? M30A1 with Desert camouflage have Automatic/suppression/semi/burst and Dark black w/o camouflage only semi/burst? How many weapons with this style will be?

So far, my favorite weapons are SRS and the Chainsaw Sword. The SRS looks like a M14 EBR.

The adaptive camo will probably be added to the MRDR88, AK490 and MARS 2 once their models get complete.

The rare camouflages, (White, Gold, Red Tiger) offer weapon upgrades but don't show up very often.
The moderately rare camos (Jungle and American) offer minor damage upgrades. They sound just a bit different too.

By the way, there are three more weapons that have extra variants.

6 weapons in this beta have extra variation? i don't see another difference's in other weapon and i think you don't say what others weapons (except R98, SRS mod-2 and M30A1) have more than 1 version. Be right?

EDIT: found another versions: Silenced RS04 and rusty M781 Mk2

You're "removed" new versions of the guns and replaced by the old but, new versions of the gun is a "secret" version of the old one (M30A1 > M30A2 and M7821 Mk2 > M781 Mk3). Be right?

EDIT 2: I forgot something: when i dropped Rust version of M781 Mk2 (M781 Mk3 version) and pick up it again, it changes to normal version (M781 Mk2). "rare bug" ?
How i can know if i have normal or overcharged version of HMC117? normal have Full/25% firemodes and overcharged have only Full power?

I think you can't, as you already modelled it. But could it be without the silencer and little bit bigger or something?

If it you can, I'd say have a new model for the MARS.

Btw, Sarge, when will you make a new build? The one you link to is the same as the last private release. Also, I think Xav's armor mutator should go public with the main weapon pack, though we better wait for his opinion on that.

Na just make it into a turret the instant it drops(but it can still be picked up). It will start firing while it lays on its side!!! And if an enemy comes near(it takes the side of the last person that carried it) it explodes in a large flak explosion.

The Idea is to make a trap, the guy would think that's a dropped weapon and boom a delicious frag and a lot of lulz will come after

New build? I don't know. It all depends on when I get the models/anims and make a break through on some of the major bugs. And yeah, you should probably chat with Xav about the armor pack since you two are the primary producers of it. It's a shame he hasn't been on much recently.

By the way, don't forget to try out the fists while berserk. They get enhanced.
