Hey Xav, are the UV's on the Laser Carbine up to date? Because if they are then I'm gonna start texturing it.


Also, what type of assault rifle would you guys like to see as the MARS-2?

Right now I'm thinking of an F2000, which would make sense with its extremely high fire rate and scope attachment.


The other current contenders are the XM8 and G36.



If the gun is an F2000 or XM8 it'll likely come with black, tan, green, and elite (red tiger) furnishings. If it's a G36 it'll likely be packaged with jungle, urban, plain and gold. It will definitely not be remaining as an M50, though. Bear in mind that in the next update the MARS-2 will be getting a reduction in recoil to make it more controllable from hip fire. It might also receive a slight damage reduction to compensate too.

It seems that Glosmo is making an XM8 for it, so I think it might be the right rifle.
If else I will say an F2000 or an other bullpup rifle, because there is a very few amount of weapons of that kind.
Except the rifle from the jack carver's pack most weapons we have uses a standard configuration.

Why not an unholy hybrid of the G36 and XM8, with the front end of the G36, yet the stock & sights of the XM8?

Nobody said it has to be an exact replica.

I prefer the F2000, we need another bullpup weapon besides the M7A3.

It has the clip behind the handle, it can pass as another Light Machine gun if you want, need more of those. Has a grenade Launcher, or Grip if you think it would be too over powered. and has a scope.

I like the LMG idea. We do need more LMGs, and slapping a 100-round drum on an AR would be much easier than working out all the belt animations and stuff.

I could definitely see a scoped F2000 working as a MARS-2 and a 100-round XM8/G36 working as a new LMG. All of this depends on which models become available, though. In the mean time I'm only going to work with what I have.

I might be able to whack together a G36 like the one in the photo. Give me a week or two. Should be done.

Considering of its name (MARS-2), it should be a weapon from planet Mars or god Mars.

For real, it sounds like a newer-than-modern weapon (Not Avant-Garde) so it should be XM8. Any possibility you can make a XM8-like weapon but bullpup-style?

The MARS-2 has actually gone through loads of different names before settling on this one. Its earlier names were the M30, M514H, M36, and M36H (M4, HK416, G36, G36E) before it got branded MARS-2 (Modular Assault Rifle System 2). Though yeah, it is supposed to be more futuristic than our current assault rifles.


For those who are good at concept art or for those who would like to get their own camo patterns in, here's your chance!

I'm starting work on the LS14 carbine's skin, but at the moment it only has a very basic color scheme that I may or may not follow. Below is attached a side view of the gun which you guys can download and modify as you wish. If you guys want to suggest a different skin or pattern, simply modify/recolor/detail that picture and reupload it and I will check it out!

Haha, no it's fine. G36s are futuristic too! We actually already have an XM8; it was made by Glosmostinex quite some time ago. Though he has since gone MIA so I don't know what has happened to it!

Glosmostinex had actually made a complete Milkor MGL back when Version 8 was being developed. I was about to code it up but his system crashed and he lost it before we could start. :\

Well, I tried to find something cool looking, but failed pretty bad, since all guns, more or less by design, are going to look mostly the same.

Agreed, though Xav and my 4Shared accounts function well enough as SVNs. These were more cases of improper backup, as even if we did use a SVN instead of 4Shared it would not have hosted the WIP models that were being created and lost. And on that topic, I now have no less than 7 complete backups stored over 5 hard disk drives and online sites due to the massive amounts of computer crashes I've had in the past few years. (Most of which are mentioned in this thread. )

Braethias, I like those futuristic assault rifles too but they're a little difficult to create nicely. The LS14 is shaping up to be a pretty nice futuristic gun, but it's definitely more human-styled than those Gears of War style guns.

Anyway, here's a pic of the gun with corroded coolant and power modules.

Ok, just messing around, changed up the g36K to be bullpup. Maybe throw on a C-Clip later.

Ok, so far, there is no trigger, or trigger guard. Handle and clip base thing both need fixing. Still being worked on.
Me thinks it looks okay so far.

Ah yeah, cool I love the LS 14 anyway since the first pick up I just love the design and it's getting better over time

@waffle shake; your gun sounds weird but somewhat fitting as a good bullpup conception of the G36.

I also got an amazing surprise with the SKAS 21, my dreamed weapon ^^ the DX 1 assault shotgun pimped up !!
It needs a bit of improvements on the textures and probably more correct sights, otherwize the model is close to be perfect, I love the triple rotating barrel, the weapon is awesome overall.
