So Sgt.Kelly, when can we expect V9 to hit the download sites?

Ah, yeah, I know what you mean. That really becomes a hassle quickly. For some reason I'm not really crazy about the Unreal monsters, I think because in Stock Invasion they're so spammy, and Skaarj really just aren't fun with their projectiles sending you flying on hit.



Yeah, that's what I thought it was. At least in the Unreal 1 conversion mentioned and linked in this thread a few posts up it works now, but I haven't really tried Invasion with Evo since 2.5.

More stats would be nice, particularly Melee, and energy too could be fairly easily checked since energy weapons have a flagged checked for this so it could be recorded. Accuracy would be a very tricky one I think, particularly in invasion. Those little things flying around can get really hard to hit, and your stat is only going one way really fast.



Soon is about as accurate as we can get. I wanna say within a month, but that's only if assuming nothing big pops up at the last minute (which is their favorite time to show up).

PaD over on Epic's forums made a mutator that kills weapon drops, and it works with Ballistic, so disregard that request. Thanks. Now I need to get these weapons working in Loadout. My BWCache.ini file is completely blank. It's blank in the archive too, so that'd be a pretty good reason they aren't showing up I guess.

Its supposed to be blank in the archive. This accomplishes the same thing as deleting the BWCache, only without the user having to do anything. It automatically generates and fills up when you enter the BWConfig menu (that's why there's a bit of a stall when it first opens up). But if yours doesn't fill up after going into the BW Config menu, that's weird. Check to see if it isn't set to read only.

Oh, I need to populate it with the weapons by going into the config... hmm. Guess I should try that first, eh? lol.

Yep! As far as I know, we just got an issue with the XM84 projectile and I need to do some SKAS world meshes. There might be a few other things too, but I think this is about all we got left. I would wait for confirmation of Sgt. Kelly before you're too excited though, I might be forgetting some stuff.

Awesome new guns!
First of all, the quality of the models, textures and sounds is excellent on all guns.

I'm madly in love with the Bulldog. It's high accuracy (at least on my settings) and it's awesome sounds + damage makes it the best gun in the pack, atleast for me.

The new submachine guns rock as well, especially the DR88. I can keep sprinting while it retains it's accuracy fairly well.

I was a bit puzzled by the automatic shotguns/Grenade launchers. They seem to have multiple skins, one of which is way overpowered for the shotgun (a purple one? There's also a Fabulous one which seems to lessen the effectiveness). Perhaps I haven't read the read-me carefully enough...

The CYLO Firestorm is a decent gun - though the SUICIDE ALT FIRE mode seems not to do anything? It just fires the same rounds as it normally does, alt fire won't make a difference either.
The other Cylo.. While it's a decent gun on it's own, it feels underpowered compared to the Firestorm. The Firestorm's RPM is just so much higher, even with the addition of a shotgun on the regular Cylo it feels weaker than the Firestorm.

I haven't used the the other weapons that much yet, so I'll not comment on those. But again, the quality of the weapons is very good

edit: Never mind, Firefox's Awesome Bar to the rescue. I don't know why anyone hates it other than "wah it isn't firefox 3".

edit 2: Maybe it's my accuracy settings, but I'm not seeing the point of having two fire modes on the F2000 do much the same thing (be a machine gun). Maybe I just haven't tested it far enough yet, either.

With the MB46 energy rifle/shotgun, it starts off accurate but the longer you hold the fire down, the more inaccurate it gets, and then it stays that way until you throw it and get it again.

The A73 Elite Skrith Rifle still leaves monster red squares if you hold it down on the terrain long enough. Isn't a huge deal, but hey, I might as well report it.

Is the "overcharged" variant on the HMC-117 gone? I can't seem to get it.

Yea, I'm all for alt-fire modes but whats the difference between the f2000's (GG-4000) primary and alt? Aside from sound of course.

Think these points have been raised, but I shall say them anyway:
1. using DE give you four arms (I almost garentee this has been said)
2. using the bulldog, loaf a frag-12 then primary fire and there won't be a trail after the shell... useful if you want to snipe with it...

Also... I keep getting this error which crashed ut2004, it varies in the weapon, but only happened after adding V9 + betas... think it might be the betas, but thought I should say...

Yeah, it does. Stupidly I thought they were enabled by default, as it stands I had to check them to include them. lol. Yeah, it works fine.

Did you use the reloaded cheat? Reloaded cheat always crashes the game with enough weapons enabled. UScript runs checks on pickup for each inventory item, and since there is more than one check, having more weapons increases the number of checks at a crazy rate. When the number of checks reaches some horribly low number (250) set but UScript developers, it assumes its in an infinite loop and kills the game. We can't fix this I'm afraid.

Also, how does the DE give you four arms? It isn't dualwieldable as far as I know.

Ah, that explains it! Damn Exponential growth *shakes fist* some times it didn't crash straight after so I thought it not related, just a coincidence...

I can duel wield it... which I thought was new...

Looks like I will have to code my own cheat... a weapon set like in the GTA games... (too lazy to set up the swapping every time...

Yeah, I blame the engine programmers.

But yeah, a new cheat is indeed called for. Maybe you could help us with this? I think just one that grabs ten random guns each time would be a suitable cheat. I'll talk to Sgt. Kelly about this.

I looked at the Photon Cannon thing:

You ALWAYS get an overcharged cannon when playing in red team and a normal one in blue team.
This is pretty annoying. The photon cannon is supposed to have team colors, but that doesn't work well at the moment, because there's only a normal blue one and an overcharged red one. :S

I have just done my first year at university (computer science), so after 16th June I shall have to look into this~ I can't imagine it to be too hard, but that is probably me underestimating it =P
