About the game:
Rooks Keep is a game that started out as an attempt to create a detailed form of Chess, but has since evolved considerably. Players can now engange in real-time bloody combat akin to deathmatch arena games; duking it out with a variety of factions and pieces in detailed environments.

Features:
-Fantasy Deathmatch:
Rooks Keep is primarily about solid, simple, arena style deathmatching. Play with up to 32 players in interactive, free-roaming mass combat in a variety of game-modes. Choose your faction, team or piece and color (depending on the mode) and jump into brutal bloody battles.
In addition, a basic character skill system allows asymetric fights, eg: The Rook is more powerful than the Pawn. Players can use skill points to either use a more powerful piece or upgrade their current one.

-Chess Expanded:
Take command in traditional two player Chess matches or, for a twist, the Combat Chess mode, where fights are dtermined by real-time combat. Additionally, all factions are currently made up of the six pieces traditionally seen in Chess.

-Factions & Theme:
Rooks Keep is set in a variety of detailed fantasy environments, featuring maps both for Chess and Deathmatch modes. Players will also get a choice of several unique, fully animated factions ready to commit hideous acts of carnage against their enemy. Currently the two factions are "Knights" and "Beasts" with some potentials to be announced soon. Also, Rooks Keep is a very bloody game ;)

-Multiplayer & AI:
Players can battle it out in multiplayer with up to 32 players in DM modes and two player in Chess modes. AI opponents can fill out the ranks and allows singeplayer skirmish matches. Alternatively, players can simply play on the same computer in the traditional Chess mode.

-Gametypes:
Besides the Chess modes (Traditional and Combat Chess), players have a variety of deathmatch modes to choose from, such as: Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Conversion(kill the enemy pieces to convert them to your team), and Last Man Standing. In team modes, up to 32 players and 4 teams are available.

-Unreal Tech:
Rooks Keep is running on Epic Games™ excellent Unreal® Development Kit™ which allows us to create great looking environments and pieces.
