I think a way to make the game more realistic and possibly more tactical is to have explosive ammo for its... ammo. I remember in the classic tournament there is explosive ammo mutator and I used it all the time. I love it a when a bot goes to pick up more ammo, I shoot the ammo and the bot turns into chunks.

For those that dont like it we should have it as an option so anyone that doesnt like it can turn it off.

This is an idea, so it belongs to the Idea Zone, not BW General.

Explosive ammo might be fun as an option. I certainly wouldn't want it enabled ALL the time.

Explosive ammunition is always a great way to spice up gameplay.
Gives you that,movie feel.

This idea is not going to be implemented per se. If you decide to donate, this will be released as an optional feature, probably a separate mutator called BW Volatile Ammo or something in that direction. If you want to donate, then it would be best to bring this up in the donation forum.

Btw, luckily for you, a simple thing like this shouldn't be costly.

But while we're at it; what about spicing the idea up a bit? Like adding an option to the mutator's config that enables random ammo exploding. You'd never know if an ammo pickup will blow up in your face.

You'll probably die,but your corpse could end up on the other side of the arena.

The explosion of ammo pickups could be made customizable. Like damage, radius of damage, power (how far you get thrown if near the explosion), etc.

What is a tesla exactly? I only know it as measurement for the strength/intensity of magnetic field.

Tesla is associated with any weapons in any game that uses electricity. We saw it in RA1 the firs time and since then we call all electricity weapons tesla weapons. :} Tesla was a famous scientist who like electricity and invented radio among lots of other things. He was also a bit crazy. Hade strange habits when he was eating at resturants and he was obsessed with the number 3.

Nikola Tesla did not invent the radio, he contributed to it's development though.

well back to the topic of electrical explosions,I'd say for about 5 seconds anyone in the vicinity gets a rather nasty shock.

And even though that were the case,don't bring it down,we are brainstorming ideas and the more we come up with the more RS has to draw from if they feel the need.
Alot of this stuff might even show up in some of their later projects,they have permission from me to use what I come up with on this forum if they wish.
